A part of me is gone
Never to be seen again
Never to be smelt or felt
The part where I began

A part of me is gone
A part I loved dear
A part that I learned from
To care, to love, and shed tears

A part of me is gone
This I tell the Lord today
My rock, my shepherd
My strength when I pray

A part of me is gone
A part that I cannot keep
A part that I loved & cherished
A part that will eternally sleep
